Literature Text

                                                         The Dark Sea

I sit on the beach
Looking at the dark sea
The sea that holds everything I’ve lost
Holding the things everyone’s lost
A black sea that takes things from us
And gives us back pain
Some people say to give up looking
Looking for what we lost in that sea
And that if we do that, the pain will leave
But when we do that, it hurts us even more
I look out to the sea
The sea of black
I close my eyes
And think
Think of the faces I’ve lost
Think of the good times I had with them
And then I open my eyes and see it
I see the moon
The moon rising out of the blackness
But I don’t see just the moon
I see the thinks I’ve lost
I watch it rise
Rise high into the sky
And it brings my pain with it
I watch it and smile
And know
Know that I may not touch them again
But they are not lost but waiting
They’re waiting for me
Waiting for me to take my place along side them
My place in the sky
Now if feel the pain
The pain given to me by the dark sea
All I have to do is look to the sky
And remember the thinks I have lost
Another poem to come out of the bored mind of mine.
This is for anyone who has lose something they loved

Got the inspiration from a drawing of mine:
